Below is a little bit about me and my therapeutic style to help you determine if I might be a good fit to be alongside you in your therapy journey.
I firmly believe that therapy is a process of self-discovery to learn how to unlock your inner power of healing. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe space for you that is filled with compassion, acceptance, and empowerment. I acknowledge that every human is unique, and it is my goal to tailor my therapeutic approach to fit your specific needs and goals.
I have experience working with individuals on a range of issues, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, grief, trauma, identity, and relationship conflicts. It is important to me that I acknowledge and honor the uniqueness of each client. Because of this, my approach to counseling is eclectic and integrative. My therapeutic style ultimately pulls from the Person-Centered approach while integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. I am LGBTQIA+ allied as well as race and culturally diverse allied. Although my work thus far has primarily included adult and teen individuals, I am looking forward to assisting people of all ages reach their goals in therapy.
