Counseling Rates & Accepted Insurance

Rates
We require a $30.00 administration fee when you make your first appointment.  After you attend your first appointment, the $30.00 will be applied to the fee of your visit. It is non-refundable if you do not attend the appointment. If you have a zero copay, we refund your $30.00.  If you do not give a 24-hour cancelation notice, the fee of $175.00 will be charged to your credit card. 

Individual, Couple, and Family Counseling: $175 per 50-minute session Group Counseling: $40 per session. 

Business/Performance Coaching: $175 per 50-minute session.

Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.  Counseling by Penny Haight is accepting new patients for Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield Choice PPO, Advantage (PPO), Anthem, Cigna- only three providers are accepting new Cigna insurance clients, UHC, and Aetna Meritain.  If you don't see your insurance listed, we can provide you documentation so you can file a claim out of network.     

If Counseling by Penny does not accept your insurance, we could assist you in filing your own claim.       Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What does my insurance company cover per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Payment
No Cash, credit cards and checks are accepted for payment.

Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session, however to avoid the cancellation fee, you will be offered the chance to change your appointment to virtual or schedule your appointment later on THE SAME DAY if your therapist has the availability.
