Diane Spivey

Diane is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. Before going into private practice, she was a school counselor in Fort Worth where she learned and implemented trauma-based emotional interventions from Texas Christian University. Prior to becoming a counselor, she was a teacher at the elementary level for many years. During those years in the classroom, Diane learned that developing positive relationships with students and their families creates success.

Diane is fascinated by the thoughts and interactions of the people in her life and in the world. She believes that human connection and healthy relationships are very important to creating purpose in life. Her goal is to help people find their own value and manage emotions to foster a healthy self-image and happier relationships.

Diane enjoys working with people of all ages including kids, teens, couples, and adults. In counseling sessions, she uses techniques from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trust-Based Relational Therapy, and she is trained in Gottman Couples Therapy (level 2).
