All About Megan Settle, LPC-Associate

Megan is a LPC-Associate supervised by Penny Haight, LPC-S. Megan has a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Texas Christian University. Before going into private practice, Megan was a school counselor for 15 years in both Aledo ISD and Fort Worth ISD. Prior to becoming a school counselor, Megan was an elementary school teacher. She is very familiar with the complexities of navigating school challenges, as well as trauma-informed care. Throughout her time in schools, Megan saw first hand the importance of positive relationships, feeling connected to others, and utilizing strengths to achieve growth.  

Megan believes that being able to recognize and manage our feelings is crucial in being able to form and maintain healthy relationships with others. She loves helping others to realize their own strengths and to build upon those strengths to achieve their individualized goals.

Megan enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults. She believes in the importance of setting goals and utilizes a strengths-based, person-centered, and solution-oriented approach. In counseling sessions, Megan incorporates elements from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
